Having a hair or makeup trial is a great way to try out the look, meet me before the big day and ask any burning questions. In order to get the best results from your trial I have complied a few suggestions below.
Please note my studio space is very limited so I ask you to please bring no more than one supportive friend with you to your trial.

Makeup Trial suggested prep

- Arrive with no makeup, you can apply your normal skin care but I will always prepare the skin accordingly before every makeup application.

- Exfoliate. Your face and lips. Makeup doesn't apply well on dull, flaky skin.

- Bring a picture. One or two is fine, preferably my work or in a style similar to my own of someone who looks remotely like you. Eg: Kim Kardashian isn't a great makeup reference image for someone fair and blonde with blue eyes. The finished look just wont look the same.

- Wear white. preferably something somewhat dressy. If you're wearing white on your big day it helps to see your makeup with a white garment. For non traditional or cultural weddings please wear a similar colour to your wedding attire.

- If you will be faux tanned on your big day, faux tan for your trial.

- No facial waxing less than 5 days before your trial, makeup doesn't adhere well to freshly waxed skin.

- Let me know about any allergies (no matter how innocuous) or skin conditions you have in advance. While I do my best to keep a range of products that will work for everyone in my kit, knowing what I'm working with in advance helps a lot.

Please allow up to 1.5 hours for your makeup trial which includes 1 look with minor changes.

Hair Trial suggested prep

- The night before your trial shampoo twice, no conditioner! Do not add any additional hair product. You may blow dry your hair smooth with a round brush or paddle brush if you're prone to frizz but do not use a hair straightener.

- Arrive with bone dry hair. Damp hair will incur an additional dry off fee.

- Bring a picture. One or two is fine, preferably my work or in a style similar to my own of someone with a similar hair colour to your own.

- If you plan on wearing hair extensions for your wedding day, bring them for your trial. Please note there is an additional fee for styling extensions.

- Bring your veil or any other hair accessories.

- Wear white. preferably something somewhat dressy. If you're wearing white on your big day it helps to see your makeup with a white garment. For non traditional or cultural weddings please wear a similar colour to your wedding attire.

Please allow up to 1.5 hours for your hair trial which includes 1 look with minor changes.
